Cookie Policy
Last Updated: April 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Drillvisor ("Company", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit drillvisor.com ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
In some cases, cookies may collect information that becomes personal data when combined with other information we hold about you. Our use of such data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide usage information to site operators.
Cookies set by Drillvisor are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than Drillvisor are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable features or functionality provided by external services. The parties that set third-party cookies can recognize your device when it visits our Website and when it visits certain other websites.
2. Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies for two purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for the Website to function (authentication, session management). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: used to understand how users interact with the platform, so we can improve it. These require your consent and are only activated after you accept via the cookie banner.
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or any commercial tracking purpose. DrillVisor does not serve ads and does not share cookie data with advertising networks.

4. How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject analytics cookies. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with the service.
You can manage your cookie preferences in two ways:
- Cookie banner: a consent banner is displayed on your first visit. You can accept or reject analytics cookies. Your preference is saved and respected on all subsequent visits.
- Account settings: you can update your consent preference at any time from your account settings page.
If you reject analytics cookies, PostHog will not be initialized and no analytics data will be collected. Your ability to use DrillVisor will not be affected.
Browser-level controls
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies via your browser may affect the essential functionality of DrillVisor (authentication, session management).

5. Other tracking technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as web beacons (also known as "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are small graphics files that enable us to monitor traffic patterns and understand how users navigate the Website.
DrillVisor does not use Flash cookies (Local Shared Objects). Flash Player is no longer supported as of December 2020, and we do not use any Flash-based technology.
6. Do we serve targeted advertising?
No. DrillVisor does not serve advertising of any kind. We do not use cookies or any tracking technology for advertising or retargeting purposes. We do not share cookie data or behavioral data with advertising networks or data brokers.
DrillVisor is a B2B SaaS platform used exclusively by oil and gas professionals. Analytics data collected via PostHog (with your consent) is used solely to improve the platform experience for our users.
7. How often will we update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, legal requirements, or our business practices. We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered address.
The date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
